About the Speaker

BENJAMIN N. ASHCROFT 

Ben graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering. The summer before his senior year and throughout his senior year, he worked for W.E.S.T., Inc.’s Arizona operations. Upon graduation, Ben took a job with Thiokol (Northrup Grumman) in Northern Utah and began working as a research engineer in the Propellants, Explosives and Pyrotechnics Division. While there, he was issued multiple patents for formulation work done in the area of metal/oxidizer formulations for thermal energy release. Ben returned to W.E.S.T., Inc. in 2011 and has worked as a Senior Chemical Engineer and Account Manager since that time.
